Jonsi, the singer of Sigur Ros, uses video effects projected during live performances to enchance the overall experience of the music. For example, for the track “Sinking Friendships” video simulating a rainstorm – with rain drops falling on glass and rushing water rising from the floor to the ceiling – immerses the audience in an entirely new world. This is not your run of the mill smoke machine and lights show, Jonsi and other musicians are entering new territory as they experiment with video during live performances.
