Hello From Actual’s New Intern!

Hello!

My name is Jason Stack and I am a new intern here at Actual Industries. Few basic things about me – I am a rising Junior and International Business major at Pepperdine University down in beautiful Malibu, California (tough life…). I am at Actual because I have a passion for all – or at least most – things video. I love filming, producing, and editing my own projects, and love working with my friends whenever possible. This (addiction?) in part began when I was studying abroad in Lausanne, Switzerland. I started off using a small, Canon Vixia my brother bought for me on Craigslist just a few hours before leaving for the airport. This summer, Actual took me on as an intern to help expose me to all the different aspects of the production process. I hope to emerge from this experience with a new perspective on this industry, and a greater idea of what I want to pursue as a career following my time down in the ‘Bu. This has been an fantastic opportunity to witness the who, what, where, how and why somebody would want to work in video production. So far, I am devoid of complaints. In my first two weeks here at Actual, Annie, Tiffany, Brad and Janique have been nothing but welcoming and trusting in me as a temporary addition to their talented squad. It’s going to be a great summer!

Here is a quick example of the kind of work I enjoy doing in my free time:

Thanks everybody for reading! I will be updating the blog periodically with things that both Actual and I find interesting around the wonderful world wide web (ex: food, movie industry, camera tech, how to videos, things you need to watch as a participating member of this society). Keep reading, and have a great day!

Jason
