About Us

Annie Tonsiengsom

Owner, Founder, Executive Producer, Field Producer, Post Producer, Director, Creative – Annie is a first generation Thai-American with a passion for social justice and racial equity. Annie has two decades of experience working in the Video Production industry and enjoys wearing many hats at Actual. The joy of collaboration, working alongside and meeting the best (in every aspect of the word) people, fuels her drive and motivation. Well, that, and a healthy serving of coffee and donuts.

Leading and managing Actual means creating spaces and projects that allow others to show up as their entire selves in a supportive, creative environment to put their passion and talents to full use. Stories that celebrate the best aspects of humanity inspire Annie as well as building relationships with equally inspiring people who reflect those values.

Brad Mosher

As a longtime Creative Director with Actual Industries, Brad can help you distill your project’s messaging and guide you through every step of the video creative process, through a creative and practical lens. Just be careful not to start talking about his record collection! He is driven by his passion to connect and collaborate with others through storytelling – amplifying their stories and staying behind the camera.

Jean Herbold

Jean is a creative producer who wears her heart on her sleeve. She loves to root for the underdog and lift the voices of those who are most often overlooked. In another life, she might have been an investigative reporter because her questions are endless. Since she is constantly thinking about routes to connect people, you can bet she is listening and contemplating dynamic and helpful ways to be of service.

Janique L. Robillard

Documentary filmmaker and creative producer — Janique’s work spans live action and animated digital content, including commercials, docu-series, and music videos. She is driven by creative concepts that elevate womxn’s voices, center often overlooked perspectives, and cultivate positive impact for the communities showcased. From a logistics perspective, this means she loves collaborative workflows and being on the ground from development through post production. As a perma-lancer with the Actual Industries family — clients she has produced and directed work for include Google, Nike, Harry & David, and Harper’s Playground. Building amazing, inclusive teams and sharing delicious meals are top priorities 😉

Kim Gonzalez

A self-proclaimed “young, hard-working Guatemalan girl who stumbled her way into the production world,” Kim loves to stay busy and really enjoys being a helpful, positive influence in the lives of others. Kim loves encouraging others and is always very excited to share her latest understanding of neuroscience she’s learned from studying Dr. Andrew Huberman on YouTube. Kim is currently working as Annie’s Personal Assistant and Actual Industries’ Office Manager. Kim is always ready to make more friends, so if you’re ever in need of someone to grab coffee with, just shoot her an email and she’d be more than happy to meet up!

Fayte Moua

Fayte Moua is a multidisciplinary Graphic Designer, social media guru, plant enthusiast, and master crafter. Born as a second-generation Hmong American in Minnesota, her journey took her to Portland, Oregon where she currently resides. She specializes in branding, typography, motion design, and photo retouching. She loves to be as inclusive as possible when it comes to her work and loves to pull inspiration from all over to captivate viewers and to break down the barriers and social stigmas through her passions. Off the clock, she loves to do printmaking and leather crafting.

Jamie Peterson

Jamie is an animator, director, and designer based out of Vancouver, BC. Here’s how Jamie describes his background: “A dusty little farming town in central Oregon was the backdrop to a kid dreaming up adventures with his action figures. The desire to tell stories has led that kid to collaborate with clients and agencies of all sizes in Portland, New York, San Francisco, LA, Toronto, and Vancouver. Along the way, I met my wife at film school who has enabled me to continue to chase my dreams. We have a fuzzy kitty cat who can often be seen in the background of my Zoom windows.”

Jamie is a longtime collaborator with Actual and created our video for our very first client in 2009. We’re fortunate to work with such a powerhouse talent and generous, kind person.
