Actual Industries is a supporter and contributing member of the Creative and Emerging Technical Institute’s (CETI) project ‘XRchive.’ CETI is a multidisciplinary collective for participatory research, learning, and creation, bringing together diverse communities (across expertise, demographics, and experiences) using art and technology to create  imaginative responses to social challenges.

The XRchive project’s mission is to collaborate with local communities and create poignant and powerful XR experiences of memory and imagination. These experiences emphasize themes of migrations and displacements, social and systemic injustice/exclusion/racism/erasure, and of future possibility.

In 2022 and beyond, Actual Industries will participate in a multimedia research effort and creative project that reckons with and reflects on labor, erasure, and remembrance around stories of Chinese families and laborers buried at Block 14 in Lone Fir Cemetery.
