OMPA is the trade organization for media production professionals in Oregon. We advocate for production-friendly policies, support a diverse professional network, and provide new opportunities for our members at all levels of their careers and in all areas of media production.
Annie, Actual Industries founder, has served on the OMPA board since 2020. As part of the OMPA, she was instrumental in the passing of Oregon House Bill 3010 requiring diversity in hiring practices for film tax incentive productions within the state. She and Fran Bittakis of JOOP JOOP Co-chair the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. Annie also serves as Co-chair of the Executive Committee and in January 2022 was awarded the OMPA Service and Inspiration Award.
As part of the OMPA, Actual Industries has contributed to producing these events for the BIPOC media production community. The events span a variety of topics supporting skills and professional development, wellness, community building and networking. Creatives of Color Oregon (COCO) has received RACC grant support and is led by and for Creatives of Color.
